Candace Rae-Baer Delis, LPCC, LPC, LMHC
Owner / Licensed Professional Counselor

I started Delis Counseling Group because I wanted to provide therapy that feels real, respectful, and actually helpful. Too many people come to therapy feeling like they have to say the right thing, act a certain way, or fit into someone else’s idea of what their life should look like. That is not how I work.

My approach is direct, practical, and focused on real-life change. We talk about what is actually going on, even when it is uncomfortable, confusing, or hard to explain. The goal is not perfection — the goal is understanding yourself better, handling stress more effectively, and making decisions that fit your life, not someone else’s expectations.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, relationship stress, trauma, identity questions, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or like they are constantly trying to keep up with everything around them.

I am a graduate of UW–Stevens Point (BA in Sociology) and Lakeland University (Master of Arts in Counseling), and I have been working in the mental health field for over six years. I grew up in the Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield area, and I value being able to provide services to the community I come from.

I am also a fairly non-traditional person myself, and that shows in how I work. I have tattoos, a straightforward personality, and a style that is more real life than clinical stereotype. You do not need to look a certain way, live a certain way, or believe a certain way to be welcome here.

I strive to create a space that is inclusive, respectful, and free of judgment. People of all backgrounds, identities, orientations, beliefs, and life experiences are welcome.

Delis Counseling Group is a small, growing practice, and additional therapists may be added in the future. Therapy does not have to be formal or fake to be effective — it should be honest, practical, and focused on helping you build a life that actually works for you.
